This story is a crazy rollercoaster with some pretty dark moments and quite a few steamy ones.

It’s the only place she’ll be safe from her stalker but she certainly won’t be safe from Killian, Rath and Tristian. While she does get to enjoy a few years of freedom, the stalker murders her roommate in a jealous rage, forcing Story to flee to the last place she wants to go: back to her stepbrother and his pals. She eventually escapes but gains a stalker in the process. She starts an only fans to make some money so she can run away but then stepbro blackmails her with it while his besties sexually assault her. That wouldn’t be so bad except that stepdad is a creep who can’t keep his hands to himself and as a high school kid, Story’s escape options are limited. She’s suddenly gone from a small apartment to a McMansion, gaining an instant stepfather and stepbrother in the process. Story is an introvert who just wants to be left alone but her mother marries a wealthy man. Sidebar: the fourth book seems to be about different characters so I was only focused on the first three books when scheduling my dive into this series. I can’t recall the last time I was so desperate to read a sequel but I did wait to start this series until all 3 books were available. It’s so good that I will read it again because there’s a lot going on and I probably missed at least some minor things in my obsessive need to know what happened next. This is a delightfully dark and filthy RH that came into my life just when I was get bored so I devoured this book in record time. I might be under their protection, but I’m also at their mercy. Someone who makes the evil I know feel less dangerous than the evil I don’t.īut being their Lady is more than just fancy clothes and reputation.
